Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
1. Who we are
GoGirlGo is a youth sports equity society based in Chennai, India. We run school talks, outdoor adventure events, and community programmes to close the gender gap in sport for girls aged 12–18. Our website is gogirlgo.in.
If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at hello@gogirlgo.in.
2. What information we collect
We only collect information you provide directly to us:
- Contact form submissions — your name, email address, and message, along with the reason for your enquiry (e.g. book a talk, partner with us).
- Email correspondence — if you email us directly, we retain that conversation.
We do not collect payment information, create user accounts, or use tracking cookies of our own. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, page visited) may be retained for security and analytics purposes.
3. How we use your information
We use the information you share to:
- Respond to your enquiry, typically within 2–3 business days.
- Coordinate school talks, hiking events, or partnerships you have requested.
- Improve our website and programmes based on aggregate, non-identifying trends.
We will never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. How we store your information
Contact form submissions are stored securely in our database hosted on Supabase (EU/US region), which applies industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. We retain submission records for up to 24 months, after which they are deleted.
5. Cookies and analytics
Our website may use basic analytics (e.g. page view counts) to help us understand which content is most useful. These tools do not set persistent tracking cookies and do not identify you personally. No consent banner is required for this level of data collection.
6. Children's privacy
Our programmes serve girls aged 12–18, but our website contact form is intended for adults (parents, educators, school staff, and partners). We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through this website. If a parent or guardian believes their child has submitted personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information.
- Ask us to delete your information (subject to any legal retention obligations).
- Withdraw consent to future communications at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@gogirlgo.in. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Third-party links
Our website may link to external resources such as research papers or partner organisations. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites and encourage you to review their policies separately.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
